Help! Looking for the original artist to "Big Man"

Post by sandykaypax »

Hey everyone--I am looking for the original artist to the 1960's pop song "Big Man." It is NOT the Four Preps/Herman's Hermits song. Here are the lyrics:

He gets up in the morning and he leaves for town
Where he's one of the millions when you're looking down
He's a little man on a crowded street of little men
That you always meet in a big town

But when he comes home at night and he holds me tight
Oh, he's a big man, yeah, yeah,
He's a big, big man when he's in my arms
when he locks the door on the world outside
he grows ten feet tall and a lotta feet wide
oh, he's a big, big man in a kingdom of his own

from nine to five he's just a bee in a hive
of busy little bees trying hard to survive
working all day just to make his pay so he can give this girl
all the things she's never had

but when he comes home in the evening and the sun goes down
oh, he's a big-top master not the circus clown
he's a big, big man
he's as tall as they come

if anyone has any ideas for other sites that I can go to to find this, that would also be appreciated. I've done many searches to no avail.
