What's your favorite Anthony Mann-Jimmy Stewart western?

That's a tough one. I love The Far Country for Walter Brennan's performance. His comments on coffee are timeless and I use one of them almost every morning.

Winchester 73 clearly has one of the best casts and everyone plays their roles well, especially Shelley Winters. Incredible film.

The Naked Spur I believe is Stewart's best performance. Robert Ryan is definitely his equal as a villian, and Ralph Meeker and Millard Mitchell give wonderful supporting performances. Top it off with gorgeous cinematography and beautiful color shots, and you have my personal fave.

I voted for " Winchester " 73 ", but " The Far Country " has Ruth Roman which is very nice.

I voted for The Far Country. It's been a favorite movie since I was a kid and I just wish I could see it on a big screen. I think all the others are great, too, and if I had to choose #2 it would be The Man From Laramie because I love Donald Crisp, Aline MacMahon and Arthur Kennedy.
