Jane Russell
I was going through the Internet and brushing up on Jane Russell who recently passed away and found this picture of her by accident. I simply love this picture of her wearing a very nice (retro-styled) swimsuit. I had to share this lovely image of her. I've been thinking of her of lately, she is one my favorites ... when she and Marilyn Monroe did Gentlemen Prefers Blondes and other movies along the way - she does a fantastic job entertaining me. She one classy lady. I can't resist her smile ... and this photograph made me smile again. So, this weekend - I will be watching GPB on my friend 50 inch plasma - he has the DVD of this movie and so that her role as Dorothy Shaw can entertain me once more.
I have been an active member for a month now - and I'm still in awe of the numerous topics being discussed here. I learned a lot about movies, television, and one thing that I like about this web site is that its jarred my memory of movies that I want to see later on. I have an unused three ring binder and its has three sections into it. One section for books (for me to read), One section for movies (for me to see), and One section to remind myself of movies coming up on the various movie channels on Cable Television.
I thought this would be an appropriate place to share my feelings about this website - and I learned a lot from all of you here ... and I wanted to convey my thoughts about Silver Screen Oasis. Great Stuff Here.

Barry, Barry, Barry . .
How many of your several hundred colleagues could have captivated audiences by frying an egg while singing off-key with their galluses down?
Not many, I'd wager, though p'raps more screenwriters should've had 'em try!
