Anything James Dean does never ceases to surprise me

Thanks for that lovely photo of Allyn Ann McLerie, Mongo. One of my favorites! She played Katy Brown in Calamity Jane with Doris Day, and was also in The Thornbirds. And in Jeremiah Johnson, she played the mother of the boy that Johnson adopts.

She was also on The Tony Randall Show as Mrs. Reubner, and The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, and was a very versatile performer.

Glad you helped us remember her, Mongo!

I remember her well, SusSue. I hope that she is in good health.

Thanks Joe. Upon seeing Sten I think of lost opportunities....she was superb with Gary Cooper in "The Wedding Night" (1935). I wonder what would have been of her career if it had been handled adequately.
