I like the film because it gives Maureen O'Hara the chance to play an action heroine, like she did in Sword's Point and Comanche Territory. I prefered her in this role, mixing her feminine and tomboyish qualities, compared to her damsel in distress roles like The Spanish Main. However, I thought the script at best routine with Anthony Quinn almost playing a pantomine villian

Errol Flynn looks good to, almost surprisingly so, as he was on a downhill slide and would be dead in a few short yrs

Ahhh, to swing down from the topyard of a groaning timber mast, and manfully impact the zaftig voluptuosity of the smoldering Ms. Maureen . . .
Small wonder Errol was feeling all the young buck again!!
