Ossessione (1942)

Sorry not trying to overpost here, but I just wanted to mention this great foreign work coming on tonight.

This was the first adaptation of Cain's novel "The Postman Rings Twice" and it's much rougher edged than the Hollywood version. Fans of the Garfield and Turner film might be interested in the comparison. A great film directed by Visconti.

It's the best of the three film versions of Cain's novel. The 1946 version is of course the worst. Even with John Garfield.
