I don't know a great deal about their marriage or why they broke up but I have heard that it was acrimonious and she disliked him for the rest of her life.

She isn't the best dancer I've seen on screen, she does fit perfectly in the Berkeley musicals. I love Ginger Rogers and Una Merkel for their sassy screen presence.

I only wish that her dance with Cagney would last longer on screen. I wish Cagney had had more opportunties to dance on screen. I love to watch Cagney dance.

I'm a Ruby Keeler fan, in spite of her flaws. She has a fresh faced charm, she's always enjoyable for me to watch for some reason. There is something captivating about her, although I also see what CCfan means when she says that wasn't Shanghai Lil!
