SAMUEL FULLER: Film Is a Battleground
Re: SAMUEL FULLER: Film Is a Battleground
Okay, you Fuller Fans (or the Fuller curious) in the NYC area -- Dave Kehr (very late of Chicago) is curating a Samuel Fuller retrospective at MoMA...starting tonight!
I have seen the documentary or HATS OFF (his first screen credit as a writer - but it's Poverty Row with John Payne, so how bad can it be?), but can recommend the rest.
With the highest of recommendations:
RUN OF THE ARROW (1957)
THE STEEL HELMET (1951)
HOUSE OF BAMBOO (1955)
But see them all.
