Re: CANDIDS II
Hello PT,
Did Agnes Moorehead ever make a movie with Judith Anderson? I never heard her mention Miss Anderson.
Mary Astor and I once viewed "Rebecca" on TV in Vancouver; and MA pronounced Anderson as 'rather chilly or chilling' - I can't remember the exact word!!
Elizabeth Taylor liked her very much however..

Re: CANDIDS II
Larry, no, AM and Judith Anderson did not make any movies together. I know of no instance of their working together at all, although they did come close in the early 1950s. Anderson toured in Charles Laughton's staged-reading production of "John Brown's Body" as AM was finishing up with Laughton's "Don Juan in Hell." And AM did portray Mrs. Danvers once, for a thirty-minute radio adaptation of "Rebecca." Also, in the late 1940s, AM met at a cocktail party the author who had adapted 'Medea' for Judith Anderson, and asked him to adapt 'Phaedra' for herself, which he did a few years later, but AM had lost interest by then. . . .

In case someone might be interested, here is a photo of Judith Anderson standing between Robinson Jeffers (her adapter of Medea) and his wife Una:

Candid photo of Illinois State Troopers and Marilyn Mondroe. Marilyn's flight was delayed by bad weather at Chicago Midway Airport in 1955.

P.T. that is a swell image of Lena and Lennie, one of the best I've seen.
