Re: TCM announces it is sunsetting the TCM Forums
Well, I'm back. Although I was a regular on the TCM boards for many years, I found in recent times, things were going downhill there and much of the fun was gone. I would read the boards but rarely replied. I'm ashamed to admit it but I just kind of forgot about this site. I'm so glad it's still going and with some familiar members around.
Anyway another "Prodical Son" has returned, and I look forward to being a regular and help it grow bigger and better without all the drama over at that "other" place.
For those of you who don't remember me, or are new here, I'm a life-long classic film buff and worked for about 40 years in local television. Many of them as a film editor and later a movie programmer. Although things have changed drastically in local TV, I'm always happy to contribute my knowledge and experience about those days long gone.
I can feel it. The future will be bigger and better at Silver Screen Oasis.

Just getting the hang of this. I'm Cuthbert here; Swithin on the TCM Board, but I couldn't seem to make that work here, so I chose another Anglo-Saxon saint, Cuthbert being from Northumbria rather than Winchester.
Nice to see a few old friends here.

I hope you can upload your old avatar, as I always liked it. If not (you may want a new pic for a new beginning), I get it.
Watching until the end.

Greetings my fellow Bronxite Cuthbert here, which is also the distinguished name of Horatio's (Lou Costello) nemesis (Bud Abbott) in THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES from the 1790 time period of the film.
