Here are a couple more-
John Wayne and Henry Fonda in Fort Apache (1948) I thought each actor would have played the other role, but it turned out both were excellent.

You could say JOHN WAYNE and JIMMY STEWART in THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE.
Or add LEE MARVIN and make it THREE.
Or add EDMUND O'BRIEN and make it FOUR.
