LGBTQ+ thread requested in the film genre section

I sent you a PM about this, but it seems to be stuck in my outbox.

Please create an LGBTQ+ topic in "The Films" sections. I guess alphabetically between "Foreign Films" and "Musicals" would be the sensible place.

I strongly oppose the creation of a separate LGBTQ+ forum at the SSO.

The kind of characters in a movie does not define a genre .
Genres are categories like romance, comedy and adventure.

I personally find segregation based on the type of characters in a movie demeaning and disrespectful.
It would be the same as having a separate "Black" forum or "Jewish" forum or even a "hillbilly" forum.

I know that LGBTQ+ forums are common on other movie sites, but that does not make them right.
Separate "colored" and "white" drinking fountains were the "norm" at one point in this country's history, but that did not make them right.

Well, Lomm will decide what he wants to do. I'm hopeful that he will take into account the current state of the world and its sensitivities.

Also, this site labels the section in question "The Films," not "Genres," so I think an LGBTQ+ section can be added without outraging you too much, Holden (I hope).
