At 9:45 PM TCM shows The Big Steal (my favorite movie) followed by His Kind of Woman (another of my favorite movies). They follow Out of the Past and Steal pairs Mitchum with Jane Greer again. The two movies show how excellent an actress Greer was and how great she could have been if not for Howard Hughes bruised "ego."
The backstory on Steal involves Mitchum's brush with the law and that no actress wanted to appear with him until Greer volunteered. Mitchum's problems limited the scenes he could be in so the movie is shorter than most.
As for Woman, it really is an excellent humorous crime movie. The only downside is that Vincent Price had an excellent role, but again Howard Hughes messed up the script by adding a too lengthy comedy bit at the end. He also extended the climatic Mitchum and Raymond Burr scenes too long. Not my opinions.
