New OTA cartoon network

Post by txfilmfan »

I've known this was in the works for months, but have not been able to discuss it. But today it was finally announced that MeTV will be starting a new cartoon network (MeTV Toons) in June. They will be showing classic cartoons, most of them from the theatrical release era, from major studios. They will also be including classic cartoon from the early days of TV, such as the Hanna-Barbera properties, Jay Ward and others.

It will be a hosted channel, with animation historian Jerry Beck and voice artist Bob Bergen.

My attention span is small.
The idea of 'toons 24/7 totally rocks!
I would love to see Felix The Cat again.
Not sure if that is part of the mix.
