Re: Should Angela Lansbury done a music hall number

Angela was dubbed in The Harvey Girls and in Till the Clouds Roll By too. I believe that she used her sister's voice for Clouds. She only sang with her own voice at MGM in The Picture of Dorian Gray. According to the trivia page at the IMDB for Till the Clouds Roll By Angela did her own singing for...

Re: GARBO!

What do you think of this image, Garbomaniac -- color photography or colorized?

Image

The somewhat-faded quality makes me think it looks like a genuine color photo, but I'm not so sure. . . . :? :?

Re: The Warner Archive

Some Warner Archive DVDs are now available on Amazon, though at a higher price. Mrs. Parkington is nine dollars more through Amazon. :?

Wow, I never before realized how much Yoda (from "Star Wars") resembles Peter Lorre! :D

Re: DEWEY'S RECORD PARTY!

Back in the spring of 1978, when I was packing my bags for my very first tour (of Spain) I played this 45 over and over, until the neighbors complained. :P [youtube]http:/...

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?

I just finished CAGED with Eleanor Parker. The last thing on my mind movie-wise was a women's prison flick but I've heard so much about this one for years. Anyway, it was excellent. John Cromwell directed and I don't think I have yet to see a single movie of his I didn't like. I can't even say that...

Re: EYEBROWS

In Katherine Hepburn's biography, she said they all shaved them off in the 30's and drew them on higher and she said hers never grew back right. She said the only star she remembered whose eyebrows grew back right was Ginger Rogers. This practice was pushed on a number of the young female stars at ...
