Re: BARBARA STANWYCK: December 2012 Star of The Month
I hope the articles were good. Post office lost my issue of TCM Now Playing magazine, they seem to have misplaced the replacement copy TCM sent as well. If you had to ask me who my favorite actress overall was, it's Stanwyck. She seemed like a top notch lady on screen or off.

Re: The Christmas Album
That's very interesting about Claire Trevor and the movie Honky-Tonk. I wonder how often that happens to an actor or actress, feeling rotten about a screen appearance and then looking back years later wondering why they were so upset. "What was I thinking? I was pretty good in that picture!"

The little girl from Them!, I love that movie. I think I'll have to watch it tonight in honor of her birthday.

Re: All About Ayres: The Q & A with Lew Ayres' Biographer
Lew Ayres will always be Dr. Kildare to me. I love those movies. It was so unusual to see all the same characters and actors getting to be in the series. I think it was a good call by the studio to not recast Kildare and just have the series go on as Dr. Gillespie. Dr. Kildare had the same love inte...

CARMEN 1948 MAX FACTOR AD My agent got me this three months ago and I forgot to include this in my series of new photos ... this is neat find by my agent. Hey Ladies of Silver Screen Oasis ... Back in those days ... How you like to pay $1.50 for makeup? ... It's clearly marked on the advertsing bel...

Don Ameche, what a good looking man. But he just doesn't look right without the mustache.

Re: The John Garfield photo.
It's nice to see actors who got into shape naturally, looked great, and didn't over do it. Bulging veins and next to nothing body fat, no thanks.

Re: Vintage Movie Magazines Online
I may never be heard from again if I go back to that Photoplay archive. The clothes, the stories, the photos, the silly hats... I can see me opening a page to one of those years (1939 is a fave so far), and disappearing like an episode of the Twilight Zone . (Directed by Ida Lupino, of course!) At ...

Re: Hairstyles we love
Hairstyles of the 30's, 40's and 50's. Sigh. I can barely do my own hair and would have to get it done professionally. Sadly today's hairstylists, and I use the term loosely, have no clue how to recreate the looks. I love so many different actresses looks. Barbara Stanwyck with the shoulder length n...
