Re: LONGMIRE

Tinker:

Can you not get the Longmire episodes on your computer? If you check out the A&Etv site and choose Longmire, they offer full episodes on line. Of course I don't know where you're from so perhaps it's different, but I don't see why it should be.

Re: Gene Autry recommendations?

. THE STRAWBERRY ROAN: 1948: [/u] Basically this is the story of how Gene acquires Champion; but in the space of one hour and 13 minutes, this movie packs more information than most of today's 2 hour epics. In the first 10 minutes or so, we meet Jack Holt, father of favored son Tim who is an up and...

Re: The Royals!

. Once again I thank you Larry, but I should start calling you Mr. Tidbit, you always have some little tidbit to add to any conversation, and to me, that is a wonderful gift. I've seen cute little girls before, in fact my granddaughters are both special, but these two look so lovely in that photo, ...

Thanks again friend:
So . . . . . . as England is a part of Britain, or Illinois is part of the U.S.A., Asturias is a part of Spain. I think she's got-it!

Prof. Tourist:

Thanks for the photo, I can see why the kids are so adorable, but . . . next question; Where and what is Asturias? Is it part of Australia, Austria, or completely removed from either of those?

Thanks again.

Re: The Royals!

. My GOSH, can you GET more beautiful than those two little girls faces? What does their mother, the future Queen look like? It looks like Prince William is giving those old castle halls a good run for their money. Looks like he's being allowed a little more freedom than his daddy and uncle were - t...

Re: 2014 tv shows new and continuing

MURDER IN THE FIRST I looked up Taye Diggs to see where it was I had seen him before and apparently this is a 10 week experience. I don't know if it will continue as a regular program or if it is just a summer replacement, but if the other 9 weeks are like this one, it looks like it would be a fine...

Re: 2014 tv shows new and continuing

. Watching the Three Act Tragedy was such a pleasure in this transition time of reruns and summer tryouts. Oddly, just last week I had a discussion about where Martin Shaw was, now that his George Gently series is over, and although several of his portrayals was listed, this was not one of them, so ...

Re: Did anybody see the Tony Awards?

. Like I've stated before, I will never be able to see an actual Broadway musical which usually keeps me from watching the Tonys, but I did watch the years that Neill P. H. hosted and because of him, and I have to say at 69 years of age, I unabashedly admit I have a teen aged crush on Hugh Jackson....

Knitwit:

Thanks to you also for your quick response, although I see I again used the wrong first name. How could I mistakenly use John instead of Martin Shaw?, especially after I specifically said he was a favorite of mine. Well I guess all I can say is . . . senior moment!

CHIEF CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL

. In writing about Longmire, it reminded me of the Crazy Horse memorial that Mr. L and I visited about 30-some years ago. When we were there only his head and arm were truly visible from the side, his face was still basically a muddle of rock and mountain. When completed, which I most likely will no...

Re: LONGMIRE

. So now after the second episode with Henry still in the hoosegow, I think this is going to be a pretty good season. I hope they keep up the tone they've started with. Both last week and this week, I was shocked when I glanced at the clock and saw there were only a few minutes left of the hour bec...

Stuart:

Thank you so much for your reply. I'll have to check out UTube to see if I can find some of Mr. Shaws work. I'm really going to miss old George Gently.

Jennifer Jones

. I watched for about the 6th time, Good Morning Miss Dove , the other day. For some reason this movie sticks with me. It's not any particular performance, and I admit I'm a sucker for any "favorite person of the town" stories, but this one just rolls along. I am not necessarily a Jennife...

Another question to my British buddies

. I literally screamed "Oh NOOOOO" at my television last night at the end of Gently at the Cathedral. Here they don't say what series (season) is playing but I'm wondering if that was the way they ended the George Gently series. If so, it was really too harsh. Does he recover (?), or is t...
