Re: Me-TV

Erik:

You do not need a new T.V. When the garbling starts, if you hit the ff or the back up button just for a second or two, the garbling will stop. It must have something to do with the shows being non-HD because it never happens on any of my other channels.

Good Luck.

Miracle in the Wilderness

. This is a fairly good movie although kind of old by now, where people are stolen by Arapahoes for their baby and the wife stops them with the story of Christmas. It stars Kris Kristoffersen and Kim Catrall (long before her Sex and the City days). But as the story is told, it is transferred to a yo...

DISNEY'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL

. WOW. . . If ever the Disney studio made a horror film, A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey is it!!! This was not a film for children under about 10 unless you want to give them nightmares!!! I was on Chicago's WGN last night, and since I never wanted to see it due to Carrey being in it, I decided t...

Re: Holiday Films

. Lomm: I agree, the black and white is a big hurdle to cross, but if done, it's usually worth it. I think a lot of the re-viewing we do is because the acting, directing and writing were so good, they all come together to pull us into the story and hate to see it end, so we keep watching where fool...

Re: Holiday Films

, A Charlie Brown Christmas is probably the best Christmas movie to make sure LITTLE children see in order for them to learn the true meaning of Christmas, but the one movie everybody always forgets about is Come to the Stable with Loretta Young and Celeste Holm as nuns convincing the playwrite to d...

Re: YOU Tube'n

.
Thanks for that medley of Christmas shows. I haven't seen all of them yet, but Suzy Snowflake took me back to watching out the window during a snowfall and trying to see Suzy. and that 1950's bit looked like someone raided my mom's photo album.

Masha: I would love to check it out, but you never gave the name of the show. What is it?

Re: Me-TV

. I GIVE UP !!!!! ME-TV has re-appeared on my U-Verse programming but it is still in the non-HD, as is the Western Encore station. I supposed that is because most of the programming is from pre-HD days. However, Encore still does wide screen if the copy they have is in WS. RedRiver: Your apartment ...

Re: MONTE WALSH

. RedRiver and Western Guy: Thanks for your responses, but . . . have you seen the Tom Selleck version? I'm not arguing with you because I have not seen the Marvin one, but I did admit that and stated that I couldn't make a comparison because I had not seen it. I am agreeing with movieman to the fac...

MONTE WALSH

. I had thought I had seen the original Monte Walsh with Lee Marvin, but after seeing the make-over with Tom Selleck, I realize I have it confused with something else. Since I never saw the original, I guess I can understand why the kids today like these awful re-makes that are turning up for every...

Detergent pods

/ I've already posted on a couple of other sites, but am trying to spread the word as much as possible. As much as I worry about the possibility of this becoming a "Big Brother is watching" state, sometimes, as in the case of a strange comment about how you need a license to own a dog, dr...

Re: LEGACY

. Thanks for your replies. I couldn't find anything either, but thought someone out there might learn something for me. I guess when they said on the cover that "this was the complete 18 episodes" they meant it. That's too bad considering we have such a limited amount of good programming ...

LEGACY

. I picked up a $5.00 DVD at Walmart last week titled Legacy. On the cover it stated 'a fine family show, all 18 episodes included on 2 discs', so I took that to mean it was a 2 season show that was cancelled after the second. Well, if so, it was pretty rotten of the network to leave it hanging like...
