Re: I Just Watched...

Baby Chimp Rescue. Our vulnerable furry cousins, so ugly they're cute. A vet and his wife are saving many of them in Liberia who have been orphaned (due to poaching) or mistreated as chained-up "pets". This couple is very dedicated -- a few of the young chimps sleep with them as a bonding ...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

A MAJORITY OF ONE arrives soon.

New York Jewish widow (Roz Russell) develops a relationship with a lonely Japanese businessman.

Guess who's coming to dinner?

Unfortunately it is not Sessue Hayakawa.

Re: I Just Watched...

Stumbled upon TOO SCARED TO SCREAM, a cheesy urban slasher film of the early '80's. Unfortunately (or not) I missed the first half. What I saw was an aging Maureen O'Sullivan, mute and in a wheelchair as Shakespeare-spouting doorman Ian McShane's dear "Mother", and Mike Conners as a frustr...

Oh NoShear, I am so very touched. Thank you my friend.

And for everyone here who have lost mothers -- may their memories be a blessing to you all.

Re: I Just Watched...

ScreenPix has been airing the 1943 REVENGE OF THE ZOMBIES, such a delightful follow-up to 1941's comedy-horror low-budget classic KING OF THE ZOMBIES. The zombie cry: "Ahhhhhhh-ooooooo!" (try it and see who or what comes forward) Mantan Moreland reprises his original role but Madame Sul-te...

NIGHT MUST FALL was made in Hollywood. In fact, it was Dame May Whitty's Hollywood film debut!

Re: I Just Watched...

I love the dialogue in THE MUMMY. "Do you have to open graves to find girls to fall in love with?" Karloff: "I regret I am too occupied to accept invitations"(the mummy is so polite) "Good Heavens, what a terrible curse!" "My love has lasted longer than the temples...

Re: the concept of a serial killer -- wouldn't that have started with 1929's PANDORA'S BOX? Then the 1937 NIGHT MUST FALL. Perhaps in the interest of accuracy Eddie will mention these two.

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

Oh, Frenzy's rape/murder was much more sick than Marnie's scene was, even though the one in the earlier film was grotesque. With the exception of that scene, I kind of liked Marnie. Tippi does give a wonderful performance, the score is good, and its interesting so see a different type of film from ...
