Re: Theater

Late 1970's Los Angeles, I saw Ron Moody backstage in his underwear at a production of OLIVER. He wasn't very friendly.

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

Yesterday I tuned in A SUMMER PLACE just as Beulah Bondi was asking Richard Egan to fix the leak in her convenience. I'd forgotten about that! Richard Egan can fix my leak any time. I always laugh at Beulah's prurient little speech to Dorothy about getting involved with a married man. "The qui...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

Apparently we're now on the verge of WWIII.

So I just made myself a chocolate ice cream soda and will await A GLOBAL AFFAIR with Bob Hope.

That's about all a film fan can do at this point.

Re: I Just Watched...

So I turn on TCM and there is Jean Harlow and Robert Taylor kissing. I stupidly think it's the beginning of PERSONAL PROPERTY, only to see "The End" appear one minute later.

Don't you hate that?

I was so looking forward to this movie but forgot what time it came on.

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

I was watching a Rick Steves special on Egypt where we were showed the very well-preserved mummy of a 3,000 year old pharoah.

Made me feel positively embryonic.

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

If I recall correctly there were quite a few famous actors who played Oscar Wilde himself in films about the trials, including Peter Finch and even Robert Morley.
