Is that the way it works?

Okay, back from soccer practice. In the 90 minutes we were there, it rained, the glorious sun made a welcome appearance and then it was overcast , windy and cold. I love spring in Seattle. Poor kids, running around in this always changing weather, they don't know whether to wear a coat or strip down...

Tonight is Wednesday night and I coach Jeremy's soccer practice tonight. Usually lucky if I get in one short movie or show on Wednesdays (possibly none since Felix Hernandez is pitching for the Mariners tonight which is always worth a watch). I did watch The Adventures of Rusty last night as recorde...

mrsl, I'm so glad you had a chance to catch the entire film, and enjoy it. Here were my thoughts on the movie from my TCM thread earlier this month. I loved it, and would list it with Support Your Local Sheriff as my two favorite comedy westerns (though McLintock! is not far behind). Date watched: 4...

Both of my favorites have already been mentioned, but both are worth repeating: Support Your Local Sheriff I love Garner in just about anything, but this is the type of role he perfected in Maverick and can do as well as anyone. Destry Rides Again Ditto for Jimmy. He is outstanding in everything, ev...

Ah, mrsl, we meet again. I know you love the Rifleman and since we all have a chance to see it now that it is running daily on the Western Channel I thought I'd import some of my previous episode write-ups to your new thread. I am actually watching a disc with 6 episodes tonight so I'll have new tho...

SueSue, I feel the hot breath of teenage seperation already. My daughter is 14 and a High School freshman. I told her years ago that she wouldn't be allowed to date until she's 30, I'm sure she's just fine with that concept. I am an incredibly lucky father, both my kids are well behaved and respectf...

Julie,
You're welcome. It was quite accidental actually. I was slumming through a Wal-Mart this week-end and happened to see three or four DVDs that were just too cheap to pass up. Smokey was one of them and I'm glad I picked it up.

Ladies and gentlemen, without remorse I present to you.... Date watched: 4/15/2007 Title: Smokey and the Bandit M...
