Re: I Just Watched...
As for Holden and Diane, there are numerous big name shows I either haven't seen or don't like. I barely know Seinfeld or Big Bang Theory. Okay, The Simpsons too. Another trifecta for me! Haven't seen any of those 3 either. :smiley_shades: Probably 'cause I mostly don't like sitcoms or animated stu...

With the Roman scenery, Suzanne Pleschette, Angie Dickinson, Rossano Brassi, Constance Ford and the song Al Di La, who even noticed him from the paint? Even Suzanne gave him the brush soon after.

Re: Solar Eclipse?
Lots of clouds here, low and high, but the celestial gods were kind and the low ones cleared at exactly the right moment and we got to see the main event through the light upper clouds. One of my solar tiki lights came on. 😁 Tried to take cell phone pics, but mine is just too low res to show anythin...

Re: Solar Eclipse?
I'm like txfilmfan , I'll just go outside and watch the clouds darken during the 100% totality here. Supposed to start raining a couple of hours afterwards with possibly severe t-storms tomorrow when the movers are supposed to bring some stuff from my son's house (that he's getting ready to sell.) F...

Re: WONKA ('23)
It's on HBO now, so I took a look over Easter weekend. ... the whole film feels like something that wondered in from the big musical era of the late 60s. That gives it enough charm, coupled with some nifty sets and camera tricks So happy you posted this. Watched it last night and found it charming....

Had no idea that Adrienne played that part on Broadway. From the recording, I bet she was pretty good. Not particularly a fan of the movie, but I did like the Live! version that was on TV a few years ago - particularly the performance of this song.

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
I watched Goodbye Charlie (1964 ) last night. Maybe I was just in the mood for some mindless fun, but I enjoyed it. Better than the 1.5 star rating I saw for it; I'd give it a 2 or maybe 2.5. I was 15 when it came out, so maybe that had something to do with being able to slip back into the era of th...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
For some reason I was thinking about past Easters this morning. One year, when our daughter was about 4 and son was 2, I rented a bunny costume and went for a surprise visit to their daycare. Was a huge hit with the staff and all the kids except 1 ... my son. Finally took him aside and lifted the co...

diane, don't forget about SUSAN SLEPT HERE! Oh I got a good capture of Susan years ago. 👍 Just got burned out with checking schedules, recording, then capturing movies a few years ago and got busy with other stuff, so just haven't been on top of things. And hubby (the primary tube watcher) is talki...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
I'll remind everyone again about GOODBYE, CHARLIE before it airs Thursday, March 28th. Thanks, I'd forgotten the earlier reminder. My cable listing is quite different from the TCM schedule and shows This Happy Feeling (1958) as a premiere early that morning and The Rat Race (1960) and The Pleasure ...

Just saw Morgan! A Suitable Case for Treatment (1966) a week or so ago. Not at all what I was expecting. Agree it belongs in the dumpster.
