This thread asks for the ending of a movie or a scene in the film, that's why the title is SPOIILERS, not a thread to ask a trivia question. Please either give the ending of the film or a scene from...

Re: Happy Anniversary, SSO!
Bumping up to confirm all is well with the forum after updates. AHA! I thought there was something fishy going on here. It explains why: 1) The "Active Topics" link has disappeared from the top of the home page. This showed the threads with RECENT posts to the forums over a period of time...

(The 1953 version of THE DESERT SONG is also available. Pre-production materials for the original 1929 version are not in the best of shape, but WAC...

Re: The Ultimate Western Cliche
I was watching a long string of westerns with Randolph Scott (cue chorus) recently, and I couldn't get over how many times a room was darkened by shooting out or knocking over a kerosene lamp. How did they do that so many times without the room catching fire?

Re: Pronunciation Guide
One of my favorite character actors is Tully Marshall, and I found out I've been mispronouncing his name all these years. His first name, that is. Like a lot of other people, I pronounced it TULL-lee. But when he introduced himself in THE SHOW OF SHOWS (1929), he pronounced his first name as TOO-lee...

Re: ROBERT OSBORNE INTERVIEWS DORIS DAY FOR HER 90TH BIRTHDAY!
None of these links seem to be working. Here's the link to the interview that I posted here in my tribute to Doris Day back in May. As I said before, I love that she talks a lot about her early life, growing up in Cincinnati:

We need to add two more:
The Media History Digital Library
http://mediahistoryproject.org/collections/
and its search engine, Lantern
http://lantern.mediahist.org/
Probably the best source for film-related books and magazines on the Web.

Re: How Many Movies Does it Take Before An Actress Becomes A Sta
I know Audrey has a small but important part in THE LAVENDER HILL MOB, and she was also in some early TV shows. Her career really took off with ROMAN HOLIDAY, which not only made her a star, but earned her a Best Actress Oscar and a slew of other awards as well.

Re: How Many Movies Does it Take Before An Actress Becomes A Sta
Katharine Hepburn's ascent was rapid. She became a star in her first movie (A BILL OF DIVORCEMENT), was billed above the title in her second movie (CHRISTOPHER STRONG), and won the Best Actress Academy Award for her third movie (MORNING GLORY).
