Hugh Griffith won best supporting actor in 1959 for Ben Hur.

Just got through watching The Fugitive Kind with the wonderful Anna Magnani.

Also, Teahouse of the August Moon with another wonderful actress Machiko Kyo, which I believe was her only American film.
