Hi,
September 2, 1838:
Queen Liliuokalani of Hawaii was born.
She ruled Hawaii from 1891 to 1893 and was the last sovereign of that kingdom before it was annexed by the United States and she was deposed. She never actually abdicated but was forced out and imprisoned until her death in 1917.

Hi Joe, Once again - a fabulous picture; where do you find them?.... I can see a movie developing here - - all us patrons of you on this board stalking you and a surveillance team spying on you and passing on information - - "I think he's bringing up this web site now, or I traced him onto this...

Hi Wendy, I do like Arlene Dahl; she is absolutely gorgeous with real red hair - and I love just to look at her!! "Wicked As They Come" gives her a preditary female role, a la Barbara Stanwyck in "Baby Face"; but wish they'd programmed "Slightly Scarlet" too. That has R...

Hi David,
I saw "The Hundred Foot Journey" last weekend and thought it was great & wonderful, as you did also. Everybody in it was so real and so vivid.
I just wonder if the Ninja Turtles would have been put into a turtle soup by Helen???!!!!

Hi Joe,
Gorgeous and glamourous - yes and a great star.
I often think of her shipped off in that mummy case in "The Man Who Came to Dinner" and what happened to her....
There's a whole new movie there, but Warners dropped the ball...
I love her voice too!!

Joe, I remember very well that horrible day in Los Angeles. No body could believe that so wonderful and talented a lady would end her life that way. I never knew Irene, but saw and spoke to Helen Rose often and knew Jean Louis and his wife, Maggie, quite well. We all were shocked... Whenever I see h...

Hi, Last night I watched "The Smiling Lieutenant" (1931) on Claudette Colbert's day...... I had to laugh when overwraught bride, Miriam Hopkins, is stood up on her wedding night by Maurice Chevalier - and her father arrives with a checker board - and she cries out, "I don't want to pl...

Hi Joe, That's the nicest picture of Mae West I've ever seen. Lovely smile... "Goodness, what lovely diamonds". "Goodness had nothing to do with it!!".... And, Stone: I'm sure you'll know George Raft's famous line about their movie, "Night After Night" - - "She sto...

Hi,
Great pictures of Rhonda Fleming, Arlene Dahl and Anne Jeffreys in their mature years.
These ladies have aged beautifully and know what true glamour is and champion it....
Brava(s) to each...

Re: RITA HAYWORTH - The Love Goddess
Hi Erik, I just saw the promo on TCM for the Memorabilia Auction. Thought of you immediately when Rita Hayworth's 'Amato Mio' gown was featured. I actually like this dress and number better than the black satin 'Mame' dress.... I love her sweet little two step off to the left and undulating hips. Th...
