Re: This Day and Age ('33), We are Not Alone ('39)

Gonna give this a shot... Does anyone have either of these titles available for trade? I have an extensive collection of classics (too large to list here) - and would be happy to trade for either of these. I missed the latter when it aired on TCM some time ago and despite my prolonged efforts with ...

Re: Looking for Mayor of Hell and 5 Star Final

Hey guys, I had both films on my Tivos but forgot to save them and both disappeared for more movies taking their place. I have a number of documentaries from TCM that I would be willing to trade for DVD-R copies of these films. Please keep me in mind! Hi Lynn, I know this is late, but please let me...

Re: Thanks For The Kind Words

I'll add my hearty congrats, Kyle!!! Way to go, dude! I haven't been able to keep up on the various boards much lately, work is nutso crazy freaky. But I saw your note on the TCM board about the December schedule--appreciate it! I didn't reply because by the time I saw the thread, it was well past y...

Wow, Fernando---lucky you!!! I envy you being able to chill for 5 days and catch up on film-viewing! I'm doing a little of that this weekend, but 2 days is usually not enough for me to relax and chill out to get some serous viewing in---I did that over our Labor Day weekend though, a few weeks ago! ...

You asked fer it, you got it! *FIVE STAR FINAL Amazing performance by Eddie G in this scandal sheet expose. *LITTLE CAESAR While the film overall is not as good as two other definitive gangster films made around the same time (PUBLIC ENEMY, SCARFACE), the reason to watch this film (over and over aga...

One of my faves, as I'm a HUGE fan of Robinson, and Raft also. Robinson is my favourite actor! :)

I actually liked A BULLET FOR JOEY a bit better though, which is their only other collaboration.

Thanks for all the kind words, and I love posting here! :) I will continue to post on there, I guess, things have been corrected or addressed, so it's cool, but I really like the calm and welcoming atmosphere here a LOT! :)

Thank you for the write-up on that Pioneer! Reading your review plus the specs, it definitely sounds like it's worth every penny in more ways than one, but it's a tad out of my price range at the moment. Need to do some saving, but I'm looking at that one very seriously. Thanks again!

Several of my posts deleted today

I posted a few things on TCM boards today. They all appeared earlier, but then suddenly most were gone. A few have re-appeared, but some are still missing. A few replies to some threads are still gone. Now, this is Sunday, someone actually sits there and deletes posts on a Sunday? In addition to tha...

Not too into what TCM is airing today, and watched football this morning (yep, I'm a fan), but now watching a very cool B-ish noir film, STRANGE IMPERSONATION, with hottie Brenda Marshall, William Gargan, and a cool supporting cast. Very interesting flick! Last night I watched a B version of "M...

The last time TCM aired this one, somehow I had the timing screwed up and missed some of it, so didn't watch it. I hope I get it right tonight, as I'd really like to see this one!
