HAH! Don't you just hate it when your memory does that to you? I recently had a situation like that when I watched Throw Mama From the Train except it was the opposite of you. I remembered the movie as being inventive and funny but no great shakes but when I watched it a year or so ago it totally cr...

I've only seen Get Carter once (strangely I was in England at the time) and I found it to be a dreadful bore. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance as it was pretty late at night. Most of the movies on your list i've seen but I have to second your recommendations. I especially loved The Life and...

Star Wars is the only film that I fell asleep through, in a movie theater! My wife did, as well. I. I find it interesting that most of the respondents don't like SW especially considering the fact that George Lucas used serials of the 1930s and '40s as a template for the movie. I admit the f...

I admit I haven't been with TCM very long but even if I had been a viewer for 10 years or more I still would think most of the movies in the next few months are exciting and "new" because I have a very erratic sleeping pattern and because i'm a huge sports fan so sacrifices are to be made....

Another "classic" film that I've never been able to warm up to is 1965's Doctor Zhivago. It's like a 3+ hour trip to the dentisit for me without the novacaine. Eeeehwwwwwww! I've only seen that movie once when I was younger so I can't give a concrete opinion on it but it brings up some ep...

Hey Chris, going back to the Lone Wolf movie and basically Warren William in particular what do you think of him as an actor? I've seen quite a few of his movies thanks to TCM and I must say while he wasn't the GREATEST actor around he just oozed coolness. I watched one of his Perry Mason movies and...

I watched "Days of Wine and Roses" on DVD last night. I had never seen the film before, and I was very impressed with Jack Lemmon's and Lee Remick's performances. Blake Edwards did a fine job as the film started out comically and then shaded into darkness. . I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's ...
