OOTP

Mitchum has never been better for me. I think this was Jane Greer's best, also, and she had fantastic lighting. I don't remember where I read or heard this info, but Jacques Tourneur, the director had given Jane very simple direction on her part. Something like: First half-good, Second half - bad. A...

Anita

She was great in Ruthless People. I used to have an outfit like that, but, sadly, my ecdysiast days have escaped me.

Reply to KYLE

Excellent point, Kyle. I have to concede to your argument. I have always enjoyed watching that Touch of Mink , and I think it does qualify for an "essential" as far as surrendering to the inevitable is concerned. Who else but Doris could have persuaded America of something so radical near the dawn o...

Overlooked faves...

Currently, we do watch Jon Stewart and the Colbert Repor (t)! And we have most MASH episodes on DVD. My son, who is 15, is a big MASH fan. I really miss Hill Street Blues, but was happy Dennis Franz went on to bigger and better choices for himself. And there was a time there I watched Barnaby Jones ...

Questionable Choices For the Essentials

I still don't understand it. I'd like to see Carrie do some serious interviewing, but I don't think that's her niche. That Touch of Mink - I love Cary and Doris, and Audrey, and Gig, and even John Astin in that movie, but essential? C'mon! We all here on these boards could think of 50 other choices ...

General Disdain, My favorite enlisted man!

I haven't perused Maureen's or Ford's entries, but used it as a kind of general ref on people I had trouble locating info on otherwise.

But if Thomson said nasty things about two of my faves, shame on him.
I am drawing a mustache on his photo as we speak!

Ty? Well. Yes,....
