Re: Familiar faces, new forum
I have increased the "recent topics" section to display 25 instead of 5 of the most recent topics. That should help as well. Right now I'm looking to see if there's a way to not show the moderators at the top of every post/forum. I'm here everyday, but mostly lurk in the TCM area, so hadn...

I hope you get to see the documentary Max Steiner , directed by Diana Friedenberg, recently shown on TCM. It is outstanding I was disappointed after I viewed it. To me, there was little reflecting that he was much else than a workaholic. Other things I've seen and read about him indicate that he wa...

Really sad. Was up late last night & again early this morning on a death watch. Made an effort to not be the last poster since I mostly just lurked daily for the past 17 years and that wouldn't have been right.

It is never revealed why Rick cannot return to America. Julius J. Epstein later said that "my brother (Philip G. Epstein) and I tried very hard to come up with a reason why Rick couldn't return to America. But nothing seemed right, so we decided not to give a reason at all." Parking ticke...

Both trailers also emphasize the locations of the movies: New York City for A PORTRAIT OF JENNIE and Chicago for THE LAKE HOUSE. As someone from the Chicago area, I love seeing Sandra Bullock riding the CTA el, Keanu Reeves running to a departing Metra train and the cars driving down Lake Shore Dri...

Never thought about the shared aspects of both movies, but you're right. Very fond of both of them.

El Cid (1961) - epic movie that I haven't seen but would like to. Seems like that would have been a natural for TCM.

Select Profile from the user name dropdown box; Select edit profile shown after user name; Select edit avatar ; Choose Upload Avatar instead of Gallary Avatar in dropdown bo...
