Re: SPORTS
And now about the second game tonight... Not that I really cared if the Lions continued on with their Cinderella season this year or not, but I'm YELLIN' at the freakin' TV screen, "NOOOO, don't DO IT! Just KICK the freakin' FIELD GOAL!" when I saw Head Coach Dan "Mr. Aggressive"...

Re: SPORTS
Ravens can't win the big game. Chiefs in their 4th SB in the last 5 years. What surprised me the most was the defense for both teams really stepped up.

Re: What are you listening to?
https://youtu.be/LzvL3gb1lGM?si=vRr3GxFfjfFP_hMn Many years ago when Victor Feldman was in The Tom Scott band, which played in Southern California a lot, I would have talks with Feldman. He was friendly and nice. Once I asked him if Miles Davis really anything had to do with writing the song Seven ...

Re: January 2024 Schedule Posted, Robert Mitchum is SOTM
For the first time, I watched Desired Me (1947), with Mitchum and Greer Garson. Now this wasn't part of his SOTM tribute which somewhat surprised me. Anyhow, not really much takes place in the film, running at 91 minutes. This being an early Mitchum film (for MGM no less), we see little of the Mitch...

Re: Noir Alley
Though STAGE FRIGHT isn't one of my favorite Hitchcocks, I do like the flashback. I'm sorry I missed Eddie's comments. In general, I don't think of Hitchcock as being noir, though STRANGERS ON A TRAIN is an exception. The book Film Noir (Ward \ Silver), list 4 Hitchcock films in the "directors...

Re: SPORTS
I understand that in hindsight, one can say that the Bills should have run plays that would have got a few more yards to make it a shorter kick instead of going for a touchdown, but a touchdown would have put the Bills up by 4 so I can understand why the coach called the plays that he did.

Re: SPORTS
I think most people do. Nothing wrong with that. Just keep communing with the dead--those dead presidents. I was rooting for the 49ers, but they made it too close for comfort, but a good game, better than those blow out ones. Yea, the 49s cut it too close for comfort but did make the plays when the...

Re: SPORTS
Sounds as if you're well aware of the image Sedona now likes to project to the world here, eh?! ;) And yep as you said, primarily for "marketing" purposes. (...so, who ya likin' in the second game tonight?) I think most people do. Nothing wrong with that. Just keep communing with the dead...

Re: SPORTS
The Raven offensive coach is a moron. In the first half his playing calling sucked! Even the announcers said that he made adjustments and that lead to them scoring on their first procession in the second half. But these announcers are way too wimpy\kind. I like ones that are willing to call out boz...

Ahem...I assume you meant here, "today" on the OTHER side of the pond, right Andree?!!! ;) And 'cause and as I'm SURE you know, there's a certain guy over HERE on THIS side of the pond who's STILL somehow riding pretty darn hign in the polls! Uh-huh, and 'cause SOMEHOW he's gotten a WHOLE...

I only bet on an underdog if I get what I believe is enough of a point spread to win the bet. Doing anything else would be foolish.

Re: Actresses
Out of all the actresses mentioned here, I view Dorothy Mackaill as the best choice. This is because she was only in one film after the Code was strictly enforced in July 1934, a British film, no less, Bulldog Drummond at Bay (1937). Mackaill's pre-code films, especially those for Warner Bros\Frist ...

More Knots Landing hairdon'ts..... Michele Lee... http://www.tellytalk.net/attachments/img_20230410_095750924-jpg.44673/ Didn't Joan Van Ark have a similar hairstyle in at least one episode like the one Michele Lee has here? I seem to be remember an episode in one of the early seasons (maybe the fi...
