Oh, wow... Thanks so much for the most wonderful replies. I have been gone for a short vacation, which was cut even shorter due to the unbearable heat  I appreciate every word in these replies, and I find immense joy in the fact that some entertainment comes from these old drawings. I haven't...

Re: DVD RECORDERS

Today my cataloged library of home-recorded DVD recordings, directly recorded from TCM (or other sources) or dubbed recordings, totals 10,874 titles. What a collection! Welcome to the site, I hope you like it. As for the subject of the Turner Boards, I tried to return there and begin my pos...

Carol: I have not been on much, but I'm so glad I came in here to read your latest post! My parents did something like this for me, and I have to say I have never forgotten it... As I'm sure you're daughter never will! I actually really like Hilary Duff  Don't tell anyone, I'm too old to quali...

Hmmm... Wow, thank you so much for that post. You are too kind, and it is very gratifying to know you enjoyed the portraits that much. I still have not grasped the eyes, but they are really hard to do. I can't say it any better than you: eyes are the window to the soul. I looked up the two you menti...

:x So sorry, I read the package wrong! I'm actually glad :D Three hours of Buster as compared to 45 minutes is alright with me

None the less, I'll probably watched the first part tonight.

8) Thank you so much! What a fascinating post and very informative, too :D And I especially want to thank you for the monkey's real name, Jocko! I've read some into the film on Buster's LiveJournal, at which point the folks over there settled on the name Josephine... There was some controversy as to...

Thank you, and thanks for the comments fellas. I noticed alot of the camera work in this film was very nifty, especially the firehouse scene. It's so true that Keaton's subtle moments are really what to watch out for. Does anyone know how much freedom Keaton had working on this one? I have heard he ...

Buster Keaton in The Cameraman (1928)

~ Beware: If you fear 'fangirl' type musings, click the back button now ~ I took this from another board I like to write reviews on... Here we go... Buster Keaton. A cute little monkey. What more could you want? How much more 'cuteness' could you handle before just having to turn away from the scre...

I have had bad experiences with imation dvd-rs. I avoid them entirely, after I bought a 100 pack on sale. When I burned a few, everything was fine. Then I watched them back - One out of about ten discs had a defect in the media which skipped about 3 minutes of the movie. I'm not sure if this was jus...

:D Thanks to you two, you're the best. So nice to hear from you Chris, seems like forever since we last spoken!

I'm not very good at hands, but I tried to capture Chaney's. Usually I don't attempt them, but Lon Chaney's hands are so beautiful!

Thanks so much, as always -

Hi Tracey! I haven't been on much, my computer died and so forth... And I haven't been doing much art as of late. But, here's a portrait of Fred Astaire, and also a quick sketch of Lon Chaney as "Tito" in Laugh, Clown, Laugh . I just discovered Chaney :D *entranced* I still encourage anyon...
