Grinnin' and Mandolinnin'

His talents also included lack of convention, subtlety of character, and a highly refined sense of what audiences love. Sugarpuss, I recall the same highly-charged emotions registering on the screen with Shirley's por...

Loveless was a great character. I think he appeared more than others because he acted the challenge so well to the protagonists, and when you have a good villain, people just nacherly wanna tune in to see the train wreck.....Plus I loved the iconic artwork that always let you know what act was comin...

SHolmes, Glad you're here! I still think the best speech on film concerning the media is the one Kirk delivers in A Letter to Three Wives. Marshall McLuhan, Lonesome Rhodes, and Network... their prominence all came after A Letter to Three Wives . Florence Bates as Mrs. Manley sitting and huffing and...

Shenandoah

The first time I saw Shenandoah , I cried buckets. My mom was the baby of a family of 18, and if it weren't for a Union Captain who was a mason back in 1865, none of those children would have graced the earth with their presence. I love The Parent Trap to pieces. Maureen and Brian are lovely together. I love The Parent Trap , too. Maureen and Brian!!! She was gorgeous in the kitchen in that scoop-necked blue number with the apron making the stew...Brian had to run upstairs and spruce up! Also faves in no particular order: C...
