Re: Yul Brynner

I have Victoria's book in my collection, one of the few books I could not part with.

My favorites are The Journey. and Invitation to a Gunfighter. He is also wonderful in The Brothers Karamazov.

Re: The Gardening Shed

A motion-activated circuit connected to a 12-Gauge will handle the animals well but your neighbors may not appreciate fully how it is saving the neighborhood from night-foraging wee-beasties.

Love those, Masha! My own cat, Felix, recently defied gravity a la Spider Man by literally climbing the veterinarian's walls all the way to the top when they tried to take a blood sample. The walls were smooth.

Re: Favorite TV Shows

I think I have a couple of new (sadly short run) favorites, just judging by early episodes: ARREST AND TRIAL with Ben Gazzara and Chuck Connors THE 87TH PRECINCT (original) with Robert Lansing and Gena Rowlands Has anyone here seen them that could share their thoughts? I'm seriously thinking about ...

Re: The Scott McGee Q&A thread

Welcome, Scott! And what an ideal job you have! I'm waiting for my invitation to TCM's newest event (hint hint): The Annual TCM Programmers Alumni Party where all TCM's past programmers (celeb & fan) get together and celebrate. I recommend Hawai'i as an ideal spot for the first one. :D In the me...

Re: The Domestic CAT: Feline at its finest!

Hi there. I just had to share this darling photograph. My friend took a picture of her cat, and her friend's son staring at each other. I truly wonder what one...makes of the other. http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt270/CineMaven/CineMaven049/9f9acb47-0d92-44fe-a75d-3b4c8caec9e8_zps837e320e.jpg ...

Lol!! I relished it, too. I loved seeing all three men at one point wearing plaid lumberjack shirts and smoking pipes. :D

Re: What Your Movie Preferences Reveal About You

It will require thought to devise the best way to belittle them. I am not quite sure that they are worthy of it. Who is worthy of it, dear Masha, ha. But what would be delicious is you sharing with US what you wrote and how you expressed yourself. I for one was tempted to email, too. I wanted to co...

You're probably right about the escapism. Lord knows I'm always looking for an exit.

I'm glad to have obliged if it gave folks some laughs, Masha. :D :D You should hear the critical thoughts that roam in my brain while I'm listening to my psychiatrist. Talk about psych-by-the-numbers!
