"Now Playing"?

Post by otterhere »

Is there a "now playing" thread anywhere (don't see one) to discuss current or at least recent showing on TCM? Like that super-weird Japanese film this morning, "Woman in the Dunes." Fabulous! :D

The closest we have is "Coming Up on TCM." Nothing has been posted since Nov.

For recently seen films down in the General Chat and in most other forums there are "What _____ Have You Seen Lately?" type threads.

If you liked Woman in the Dunes, you might also enjoy Teshigahara's The Face of Another (1966). Kind of surrealistic Noir/Horror, with ties to the earlier Hollywood feature, The Face Behind the Mask (1941), where a disfigured man loses his identity and sense of self worth.

Why do they play all the best movies just as I'm leaving for work in the morning? Why, why, why?
