Mrs. Osborne, since this is June Allyson month on TCM, do you have any comments about the interview with her for the archive?

And any comments about that wonderful Steve Forrest Word of Mouth about Dana Andrews that's been aired recently? It's lovely!

Hi, Alexa!

I've always been curious about the song played for the last couple of years in the morning programming - the one that goes with the pop-up book intro? Is this an older song, or a newer song recorded to sound old? It reminds me greatly of Fats Waller. What is it? Who wrote it?

Masha-

Here at Turner and TCM, we are waiting to hear what Time Warner has in store.
Thanks for asking.

Jack-

apparently it was just stock music from our library and not anything famous.
Sorry I cannot give you a name or title.

Dear Alexa,

I am currently reading Sharon Rich's "Sweethearts" and there is stated that there is footage of a first version in Technicolor directed by Edmund Goulding of "Maytime" (MGM) (Jeanette MacDonald-Nelson Eddy), which amounts to 3/4ths of the whole film, before the director and part of the cast were changed and it was filmed all over again in B&W.

I have read that at least in the mid 1950s that footage was still extant and if it existed today, Time Warner should own it, I believe.

Do you happen to know the whereabouts of the said footage? I'd really like to have have the opportunity of watching it. Maybe on a Special Blu Ray Edition of Maytime?
