Living in Chicago and on social security at that, I never had the opportunity to meet Robert, but when I heard the news the other day, you would have thought he was a relative from the way I cried and carried on. I knew he was ill, but always hoped he would pull through.

Because of another blood problem last year, I have lived in a medically supported residence since last April and no longer are able to get TCM on this garbage Comcast system they have here, so I haven't seen him lately, but the memories are strong.

So Raise your glass fellas, find him an empty seat fellas, Robert will never go away again (in our hearts and memories).

Rest in peace my dear friend,
