Dargo and txfilmfan, I wonder if the aged Spacette is the one - a non-nude - who was featured in the following cover piece
Ya know NS, I'd say, yes, there is a resemblance between the older lady and the cover girl there. Yep, maybe that was her 50-some year in the past.

Of Texas and PLAYBOY - by way of California:
Did you notice a young Michael Caine standing at the bar and in the background there?

I did, Dargo!! I also recently prided myself on spotting a young (uncredited) Tony Curtis in "CrissXcrosS". Or, put another way: I've watched way too much TCM.

That show had guests every week - Caine was a guest on the episode that aired 19 July 1969 (taped in January 1969). Meredith MacRae and others are there too.
This was taped at CBS Television City, and not in a Playboy mansion.
I'm pretty sure some of the dancers are professionals from the LA area. I recognize one of them from variety shows of the era.
Seems TCM has got you on a Bruce Brown/surf film kick of late, Allhallowsday.
I was in high school and college in late 60's and remember the surfing craze that hit our area - coastal South Carolina. Personally I didn't have any interest in it, but I did go to see Endless Summer. Found it boring.
The car is a 1958 De Soto Fireflite Sportsman hardtop.
There's a clever comment that's subtly rendered during the South Africa segment of The Endless Summer about Apartheid which was interesting to hear as I was wondering about the(n) separatist policy while watching.
It was funny viewing one of the film's surfers, Mike Hynson, a fully-fledged member of the eventually notorious Windansea club, getting chased by a zebra exercising its own territorialism.

After ENDLESS SUMMER 2, i watched THE ENDLESS SUMMER REVISITED where BRUCE BROWN and ROBERT AUGUST struggled to say good things about MIKE HYNSON, though remained "diplomatic".

I had only seen parts of the two films, in a restaurant on Oahu's north shore (near the surfing mecca there). Both were on an endless loop.
Watched both last night. Nice scenery but not being a surfer myself, the surfing action gets a bit repetitive for me. I settled for the travelogue (and now historical) aspect of it. Still have to watch the 3rd film. I chuckled when in the 2nd film they tried to recreate the Lawrence of Arabia parody in South Africa, only to find hundreds of vacation homes and condos had been built in the intervening 30 years. Guess it's the same everywhere - paving paradise.
