Hmm. Interesting how some days are completely filled up, or close to it, and other days only have two or three films revealed at this point. I see there are only two premieres on the schedule so far, but if this month was any indication, there will be a lot more added.

Ironically, I just rewatched The Tamarind Seed on DVD tonight, so it is crazy that it turns up on this just a few hours later as a premiere.

There are still some TBAs on Robert Shaw's day. I am sure The Taking Of Pelham One Two Three will make it, since it has been shown several times before. It's doubtful these classics will make it- From Russia With Love (1963) and Jaws (1975)

LEO GORCY???? Give me a break! Also Jerry Lewis.

The usual suspects, but a few that interest me (Streep; Dietrich; Bancroft) depending on what they are offering. I might catch up on a few Bette favorite films too. Has there EVER been a SOTM that DIDN'T have K. Hepburn????

For Robert Shaw The Hireling 1973 with Sarah Miles is a must.

August 4 is Mom’s birthday and her favorite Julie Andrews has her day.
Victor/Victoria is the prime time film. Of course that means 5 PM out here in California.
Never noticed the list being quite so incomplete.
Okay, what does the triangle mean?
Some of the movies associated with a particular star are, ‘the usual suspects.’
I’m not a fan of Summer Under The Stars. Oh well.
There are two opportunities to show Rooster Cogburn (… and the Lady).
John and Katharine. Also staring the mighty Rogue River in Oregon.
Coming soon to a Honda dealer near you for 2025.

Would love if that would make it on the schedule. I've never seen it.

There are just 3 films on Aug. 29th that do not have Huntz Hall - Sunday Punch (1942), Maisie Gets Her Man (1942), and Born to Sing (1942).

I don’t agree, but if you substitute Cary Grant, I’m in.

I assume you will get mostly what you're asking for, since the majority of films with Leo Gorcey feature Huntz Hall.

Dead End (1937) is a first-rate film, but since Angels with Dirty Faces is AWOL, TCM isn't likely to show that classic.

It would be great if they showed the Canadian film, The Luck of Ginger Coffey (1964) which is one of Shaw's best. It also stars Mary Ure.
And I don't know if this is true, but I did read that Shaw based his take on Henry VIII in part on Budge Crawley, the Canadian producer of Coffey.
Having met Budge, I could see that this may be true. He was larger than life and was married to two women at the same time.
