It occurs to me that the only Jerry Lewis films I've seen are The King of Comedy and My Friend Irma Goes West. As for watching the others, for me they probably fall into that "Let's don't and say we did" category.

Yes. That was a great documentary! I also loved the casket joke that Dean told Frank Sinatra over the phone shortly before he passed.

There are just 3 films on Aug. 29th that do not have Huntz Hall - Sunday Punch (1942), Maisie Gets Her Man (1942), and Born to Sing (1942).

I'm hoping that one of the Marlene Dietrich TBA's will be The Monte Carlo Story (1956), a charming late-in-life romance in which she co-starred with Vittoro DeSica as two cultured but increasingly impoverished types trying for a rich marriage as a last-ditch effort to stay afloat. Once they realize neither can help the other, they part as friends, but an attraction remains and they confront a hard choice. I don't remember ever hearing of it until TCM showed it in the early 2000's and now I wouldn't miss it. They've shown it once since, but it's still pretty rare and if you're a fan you owe it to yourself to catch it. There's breathtaking location footage in and around the harbor and in and around the Casino; they obviously had VIP access in filming and it looks like a million bucks. We don't often get to see stars of that age in a believable romance and they both meet the moment with charm to spare.

I've never seen this. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Some of our people should be very happy with the final schedule. The Luck of Ginger Coffey is there. The Monte Carlo Story is there. Lots of intriguing Belmondo films. The Tattered Dress is a premiere on Jeanne Crain day. The Tamarind Seed for Julie Andrews. Another Man's Poison is not one of the frequently shown Bette Davis films.
