Me too. Never had an issue doing it that way.

I tried logging out. Logging back in is blank.
Maybe you two are using a password manager.
I don’t trust the concept of saving my passwords in an app.

I've occasionally been getting this message the past few days, when entering the site or clicking on a thread:

"Safari can't open the page."

Then I try again, and it works. It's only intermittent, but I wonder why it's happening. Obviously I use Safari.

As a Mac user over 34 years I just switched over to Duck Duck Go for increased privacy to work with my VPN.
I love it, it works great. I’m no longer “tracked” like I was with Safari. (Mac users used to be tracking/mining resistant)

DuckDuckGo has a feature that pops up when you sign into a page asking “Would you like DuckDuckGo to save your PW privately?” I’ve only allowed it for the Silver Screen Oasis and it’s worked like a charm. (But do NOT let DDG save your PW on any site that deals with money, like New Egg or Etsy)

DuckDuckGo is a search engine like Google; Safari is a browser, like Chrome. So you can use DuckDuckGo within Safari, which I assume is what you do.

Several years ago, I had my kitchen renovated and did a lot of searches related to appliances. I began getting numerous ads on my FB page, for kitchen appliances! That really showed me how much you're tracked. Saferi and Chrome now have "private windows," if you don't want to be tracked. Within those windows, whether you use Google or DuckDuckGo, you're not tracked.

DuckDuckGo is both a search engine and browser. The browser is available for Windows/Mac/Android and iOS/iPad OS.
I would use Safari but Apple stopped supporting Windows years ago. They are good at that.
Many browsers offer private mode. It may not be perfectly private but is advertised as such.
I use Chrome because I sync my bookmarks between Windows/iPad/Android.
Google is in the ad business. It is websites that insist on allowing them tons of access.
That little blue triangle is for Ad-Sense, which is Google.
I find the MSN website tracks me like crazy. The mobile Chrome browsers don't have ad blocking.
I do appreciate SSO not having ads.

Yes.
…and I realized years ago people’s phones “listen” to you, even when they are technically off/sleeping. When we bought new cars after 2020 realized THE CAR listened to our conversation!

I absolutely did NOT synch my car/phone and “bait” devices by talking about getting a toupee or needing an abortion just to see what comes up on my TV “recommended” list.
It’s amazingly scary.

According my brother-in-law (my sister's husband), he was only talking about engagement rings (not doing any web searches) and he started getting all kinds of ads for engagement rings on different sites.

I no longer stay logged into SSO. I log in to post and don't check the box to stay logged in.
Also use the DDG addon to the Chrome browser and it has been my search engine for years.
Guess I am anti-establishment. Microsoft, Google, Apple. Can't trust them to be on your side.
I'm glad you like the DDG browser TikiSoo. The Windows version is still in Beta and it shows.
I'd love to have a Mac (Swithin) but can think of 999+ reasons not to.
My old 2007 iMac, first aluminum model, second Intel version, was over $1,000 and came with ONE Gig of RAM.
Really don't want Windows either. My current PC looses support in 14 months.
Chrome OS products in my price range are often junk.
So what's a jimimac to do?
OK, has nothing to do with this thread but I feel better.
I haven't started a thread for Computing for fear no one would come.
Glad my All Things Streaming gets used sometimes.

And in the meantime here folks...and after the other day finding I'd somehow been logged out of good ol' SSO here and which has never happened before, AND then finding that the "Forgot Your Password' function around here isn't exactly functioning all that well (hasn't sent any email prompt to me yet and telling me how to change my password, anyway) AND so then creating this new "Dargo2" persona by use of my wife's email address in order to contact TikiSue by a PM and which Tiki then nicely replied to me by email and saying that only Lomm has the ability to perform these kinds of programing functions around here, but then also added that she's forwarded this PM to Lomm (thanks, Tiki)...well, and so speaking of videos here, the following 1961 hit song from the group The Sensations is pretty much how I'm feeling right about now and until Lomm reads that forwarded PM of mine.

Enjoy...

(...AND so and IN the meantime here, please feel free to enjoy this more relaxing time around here and until I'm back and able to pester you poor folks again under my original name) ;)
