Howdy
New member, sort of. Signed up on here back in December, but things went awry. With some outside assistance, I'm back.
I'm one of THOSE people from a defunct tv network forum. Went by Grumpytoad or Grumpy over there, it seems so long ago....
Anyway, glad to be here.
Help me please to find a topic on here I saw once while a non-member. The idea of it was to say how one became a fan of classic film. I think that would be a good place for me to restart on here. I have a movie review ready to submit, but would like to do the fan history first.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Howdy
Hello, Grumpytoad. Welcome. Was the thread a new one )post TCM board closing) or was it an old one you saw?

Re: Howdy
Welcome Grumpytoad.
This forum is a bit tricky.
Your post included the words "media" as there is probably a space in the link you created, where it shouldn't be.
Okay, I looked closer and the error was from the use of media versus image.
Media is for links to video.
There is a link for photos three items to the left of the word Normal.

You can quote this message and see the proper formatting.
I use the preview feature in advance to make sure everything is correct.

If you think and feel what you're supposed to think and feel, hard enough, it'll come out through your eyes - and the camera will see it.

Re: Howdy
I remember a thread like that over on TB's site, but don't recall seeing one like that here with activity since the demise of the TCM site. Maybe someone else here can help. I'd say just jump in with your review now.Grumpytoad wrote: ↑May 17th, 2023, 11:00 pmHelp me please to find a topic on here I saw once while a non-member. Glad to see you here.

Re: Howdy
Thanks for all the welcomes and observations!
That thread I was looking for-my apologies, it is on cftr, not over here.
On posting photos, I will try to do better because I love to put up pictures.
TikiSoo, A little crazy is something to look forward to. Also, what a great movie.

Re: Howdy
It was tricky for me since I foolishly didn't at first think to click on the "preview" button to see how they came out. Was at first thinking all that happened was I just managed to post a "link".Grumpytoad wrote: ↑May 19th, 2023, 10:30 pm

Just double check to make sure your cursor is dead center between the brackets before you click "paste".

You are likely thinking of this thread from the other forum.Grumpytoad wrote: ↑May 17th, 2023, 11:00 pm

Re: Howdy
I paste the url, highlight it and then click the: "insert Image" icon. It seems faster and easier for me and avoids the finicky bit.
