...Last and least, the premature Twilight Zone cast reunion. I give this one a B.
Other than Inger and Klugman, were there any others in this film who'd go on to be featured in Serling's program?

(...a question submitted for your approval here, of course) ;)

I do remember Mason and Dickinson starring together in an episode of "The 'Alfred Hitchcock Hour' at one point, anyway.
Quick IMDB credit search shows that besides the folks already mentioned, these folks were in at least one episode:

Neville Brand
Carleton Young
Barney Phillips (4 episodes)
Jonathan Hole
William Schallert
Thanks, Tex! And, with Barney Phillips especially here...

At the signpost up ahead, your next stop.....the 1-81 rest stop entrance.

I think txfilmfan got them all. I too recall Barney Phillips as one of the aliens here to
colonize Earth. Too bad many-armed John Hoyt beat him to the punch.

Neville Brand co-starred with George Takei in a controversial episode of TZ. It wasn't shown
for a long time after the original airing.

William Schallert. Was there a TV show from this era that he wasn't on?

I recall reading that Serling never actually said Submitted for your approval, sort
of like Beam me up, Scottie.

Yes, this TZ episode titled "The Encounter" was pulled from syndication until 2004 due to its racial overtones. (according to this episode's Wiki page)

Yep, very true. The guy might possibly have the most combined (both film and TV) credits than any other actor ever.

I questioned this as I was absolutely sure I recall hearing him saying this phrase on his program. And so I did a little internet digging and found the following:

Although the phrase "Submitted for your approval" from Rod Serling's opening narration has come to be closely identified with the show (and is often used by Serling impressionists), it is actually heard in only three episodes: The Twilight Zone: Cavender Is Coming (1962), The Twilight Zone: In Praise of Pip (1963), and The Twilight Zone: A Kind of a Stopwatch (1963).

Yeah, I remember seeing it on one of the SF channel TZ marathons. I can see why it was problematic.

I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Well at least he did truly say it, if not as often as people thought. There's still Beam me up, Scottie and Play it
again Sam and a number of others.

Did you catch the FTN last night you missed? Sorry if I spoiled the plot. That was a heartbreaker and could've been avoided if the parents hadn't kept their heads in the sand. How could you not notice that behavior? And didnt that guy have a job??? Yet he has his own car??? I had to laugh over the grisly end of the new ep.. I can relate to her fury. And his family says at the end what a great guy he was? I guess if you didn't lend him money...What a leech!

I've seen most of these on similar lists throughout the years. Many of them are just a word or two off. I always forget
Bette's line in AAE, but either way it's quite funny. While people might misquote Anthony Hopkins in TSOTL, they
likely can't misquote that sound he makes with his tongue when talking about good eatin'.

I watched Anastasia so I missed the rerun. It will likely be on again sometime. I did watch the new episode
when it was rerun at midnight. I think she had mental health issues and nobody really deserves to die, but that
guy came pretty close. Just an all out manipulator and con artist who never let up. Hard to feel much sympathy
for him. I never like to see bodies cut up. There must be an easier way to get rid of a corpse. They didn't mention
much about her boyfriend, but he couldn't have been happy about the local bum coming over at 3 a.m. for a
drinking session (and quite a difference in his wife's appearance between the actress playing her and how she
looked in the interview segments).

I didn't even notice the boyfriend until they said he moved out. LOL. Yeah, she was pretty demented, but I didn't have a lot of sympathy for him either for how he used her. He really pushed her over the edge (she was pretty off before he started scamming her)

The boyfriend is shown very briefly at the beginning of the program. He goes off to work and she stays at
home with the children. Better that he left instead of ending up boiling in a pot in the kitchen.

This week's Noir Alley is Strange Bargain a 1949 RKO film running at 68 minutes with Martha Scott, Jeffery Lynn (no longer under contract at Warner Bros), and Harry Morgan (who play Lt. Webb which is ironic). I haven't seen this film but it sounds interesting (as well as the Murder She Wrote sequel):

A.H. Weiler, the film critic for the New York Times penned a fairly positive review. He wrote, "As a modest entry from Hollywood, Strange Bargain, which began a stand yesterday as the associate attraction to the Palace's vaudeville bill, is surprisingly diverting fare. Obviously not intended to set a cinematic landmark, it is, nevertheless, a melodrama that presents an extraordinary situation fairly suspensefully and, for the most part, through intelligent dialogue and direction. And, while it follows a familiar outline as a crime and punishment adventure, it does so neatly and with competent characterizations."

In 1987, the television series Murder, She Wrote broadcast an episode that served as a sequel to Strange Bargain. This discounted the original ending of the film, instead seeing Jessica Fletcher being recruited to attempt to prove Sam Wilson's innocence following his 30-year prison sentence. The episode, “The Days Dwindle Down”, saw the stars of the film, Martha Scott, Jeffrey Lynn and Harry Morgan, reprising their original roles.

I was just going to ask if this was the film they used clips of in some Murder, She Wrote episode. Seems it is! They had the leads as well, in the present day part.
