That's quite a chunk of change, but I'm sure it beats buying the discs individually. You might look around for a used boxed set to compare.
On a completely different, but somewhat related note, you might enjoy Cruel Story of Youth (1960) showing tonight. Not a Kurosawa film, but a cool addition to your growing Asian cinema collection and unlike the box set--it's free.
