Joan Blondell faves - tape wore out!

Post by Birdy »

I have 3 Joan Blondells that I've had on VHS forever and last night the tape finally wore out. I had never gotten these onto DVD. Might anyone be able to help me out with these DVDs? (All with Glenda Farrell, lest I forget!) I'm ashamed to admit that I watch these almost once a month!

Miss Pacific Fleet
Traveling Saleslady
We're in the Money

I might have the odd trade, if it will entice anyone!
I really appreciate it!

While I don't have a copy of these two of them are going to be part of Blondell's day on August 24 on TCM.

"Travelling Saleslady" airs at 10:45am ET.

"We're In The Money" airs at 1:30pm ET.

Awesome! But how dare they leave out Miss Pacific Fleet? All 3 came in in '35, actors sure worked hard in those days, didn't they? I will send you a reminder close to the date and will hope I can live till them.

I see there are a couple of other 30s comedies on that day that I don't even have so... hint, hint. I may have to bribe you with an all-day sucker!

Does anyone out there have Miss Pacific Fleet? I'm on a search for that one since it's not being shown Aug. 24th.
Thanks, B

Joan Blondell day! Wow! I'm so excited, I can't stand it.
I'm going to a friend's to watch one move (she has TCM but no recorder, I have a recorder but no TCM!) What snacks do you think are appropriate for Joan?

I'll pm you my list...and probably send it on regular email as well! You are too sweet.

I watched Grease last night, what a fun movie. No Citizen Kane or Gone with the Wind, but a good way to kill a couple of hours. After watching most of the Joan Blondell movies last week, c. 1930's, it was especially interesting to see her in this. She was just as cute as ever, and her last line, about the 'mooner' on TV was so typical of her. Who here said any movie can be improved with Joan Blondell added? I agree!!!
