I love his little Fedora! :D

I don't know if you have ever seen this but it is wonderful. A group of young Japanese kids called "The Swing Girls" really get into the likes of Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. This is a must see.

With Jason Segal showing up everywhere on TV and in the movies (He stars in How I Met Your Mother and has just produced, written and starred in The Muppets), I thought it would be a nice trip down memory lane to show him at the beginning of his career. This is how I will always think of Jason Segal:

Be still my heart.

You like Jason too Wendy? I'm late to discovering JASON SEGAL. I wasn't watching "Freaks and Geeks" but I was watching "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER." A faithful watcher for him, and the brunette until the show jumped the shark and started giving the 'Doogie Howser' the entire show. But then I saw him Jason in Judd Apatow movies. The pregnant film with the other big heavy guy and the blonde, the bro-mance with my total heart throb, Paul Rudd, the film where his girl broke up with him and he sees her down in Hawaii. (I'm not even trying to remember the titles, but since you're a fan, you'll know what I'm talking about).

I didn't expect to hear Segal's name on a classic films message board, but when I saw it, I just had to answer. I love that guy. He's going the producing route? Good for him. You can add longevity to your career by being behind the camera. Boy, if I could get a script to him, or Paul Rudd or Apatow...my problems would be over.

No wait...they'd be just beginning, 'cuz then I'd have to really start dieting.

Ha ha! I just like seeing a guy I could have gone to high school with make it big in Hollywood. I don't mind the Doogie-ness of How I met Your Mother, but do agree, the show has become less original with the passing of some time. I was beginning to think maybe Lily and Marshall were both working on outside projects, since they barely appear in the show this season.

The redhead is funny. Great comic timing. The brunette is gorgeous. The lead guy...meh!

Outside projects. That's the key to television success.

There's a show on ABC called "Revenge." I saw half an episode. I can't do it. Ugh! But it tears me apart b'cuz my girl, Madeleine Stowe is in it. Have you or anyone ever seen the modern-day noir "CHINA MOON" with Stowe and Ed Harris and Benicio del Toro??

Hot.

No I haven't seen China Moon - but I love Ed Harris.

I really liked the first few episodes of Revenge, it was a guilty pleasure for me, but I can't see them keeping up the suspense for any length of time.

Might I recommend "CHINA MOON" for you. Also, Madeleine Stowe in "REVENGE" starring Kevin Costner and Anthony Quinn.

The synching is off here...but I would make a beeline from Paul Rudd right to my other heart throb (from the 70's this time...) Timothy Bottoms.

Ha! I see a direct line between the two... I never noticed before, but they have very similar voices, and a similar style of acting.

Dear Saint Nick,

(How are things in the North Pole? I'm fine in Brooklyn). Listen, all I want for Christmas is a sandwich:

A triple-decker sandwich. Don't forget to wear your seatbelt. Blixen is a wild one.

Sincerely,
