Burt Lancaster's widow, Susie Lancaster, and his biographer Kate Buford joined Alan K. Rode to discuss the actor's career arc (tying together his "Swede" character in The Killers to his older gangster in Atlantic City), his role as an actor-producer, and his striking blend of danger and grace on screen.

The delightful Barbara Hale visited with Alan K. Rode at a screening of the brilliant noir, The Window (1949) just last year. The interviews below touch on the atmosphere on the set of that film, the naturalness of Arthur Kennedy, the tragedy of Bobby Driscoll, her "stalking" of her husband Bill Williams, the generosity of a studio, acts of solidarity and sympathy shown by such essential actors as Frank Morgan, Jimmy Gleason and Robert Young for a young starlet trying to do her best, James Cagney, Al Jolson, Andre de Toth...and, of course, the experience of working with and being very fond of her castmates from Perry Mason, whose members she describes as her "reel family."

Victoria Wilson, the author of the monumental biography, A Life of Barbara Stanwyck: Steel-True, 1907-1940 is interviewed by noir scholar Foster Hirsch after a screening of Sorry, Wrong Number (1948). The author, who spent 15 years working on her subject, touches on everything from her ability to love and to be loved, her politics, her looks and, naturally, her talent.

We have two centenarians to visit with in this clutch of videos from The Film Noir Foundation this time and one younger veteran actor talking about his experiences.

First up, Norman Lloyd spills the beans on some of his adventures in acting, friendships, and living:

Actress Patricia Morison then shared some funny and insightful memories with Alan K. Rode, an admitted fan of the gifted actress in the stage productions of the musical Kiss Me Kate as well as noir classic Kiss of Death (--even though her role was edited out of the final film):

Actor Jon Polito discussed his role in Miller's Crossing (1990), working with filmmaker Michael Mann and Marlon Brando as well as being openly gay in Hollywood today:
