I have no favorites, but weren't Tom and Nicole great in Eyes Wide Shut. I am still scratching my head over that one.

I take it you jest, Mr. Ken. (Eyes-Wide-Open!)

I nominate:

Gary Cooper and Ingrid Bergman
Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman
Humphrey Bogart and....Ingrid Bergman
Yul Brynner and....Ingrid Bergman

This is getting redundant! And oddly, Ingrid is not my favorite actress! I really like her, but she's not in my top three or even top five, probably. She just happened to strike sparks in a big way with my favorite male costars. I could include her teaming with Boyer in Arch of Triumph, but I actually prefer...

Charles Boyer with Hedy Lamarr in Algiers. Wow! Hot times in the Casbah...

Others:

Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier in Rebecca
Joan Fontaine and Orson Welles in Jane Eyre
Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor in Waterloo Bridge
Vivien Leigh and that visitor from Charleston, in GWTW
William Powell and Myrna Loy in all their films
Myrna and Clark Gable in their films
Ava Gardner and Clark in Mogambo and Texas

Sorry to run on so, but I am a shameless romantic.

It just occurred to me, you meant only romantic duos in comedies, right Ken? Sorry! In that case, Powell and Loy win, along with Powell and Lombard and Montgomery and O'Sullivan.

You mean where is that certain redhead? I thought I might get in trouble if I mentioned her and that tall drink of water, John Wayne in McLintock! (and TQM) before you did!

Can I mention the *other* Irish redhead -- Greer Garson with Ronald Coleman? *sigh* what an easy movie to listen to.

Ken---you are too funny. I want to say I like her with Brian Keith almost as much as with the Duke.

Julie---Hi there!! I'm so glad to see more and more familiar "faces"!

Miss Goddes,
I believe it is an Amazon Review of " The Parent Trap ", the reviewer, a mother of young(ish) children objected to the violence and drunkenness in that film. A a wee bit tight Maureen punches Brian Keith -- such violence- Joe Lieberman needs to be alerted to this grave danger to Americ'a's children. Amazon reviews are written by civilians, not professional movie reviewers.

It's a pity such a retarded review could be allowed up on Amazon's site. I love The Parent Trap to pieces. Maureen and Brian are lovely together.

Errol Flynn and Olivia deHavilland.

It doesn't get any better than than them.

I could have watched them in 50 more movies together. Can't get enough.

They are just so doggone CUTE together!

Sorry folks but I have to go newer for my favorite romantic scene. It's between George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer in 'One Fine Day'. At almost the end of the movie, the kids are watching a video of 'Wizard of Oz' in the other room, and after a terribly hectic day of swapping kids and babysitting responsibilities, he has her in a corner and keeps talking, teasing, talking, while shes waiting to be kissed. By the time he finally does, I've already yelled at the TV 'go on and kiss her, you idiot!'. No other movie ever caused that reaction in me.

The only other strong reaction from me was Bacall and John Wayne in Blood Alley, when he grabs her, starts to kiss her and the screen goes blank, AAAHHHHHHHRRRRRRGGGGG.
