Reading the posts reminded me of a couple I thought very funny.
In one of the 'Thin Man' films, this exchange:
SHE: 'I didn't come all this way just to be made a widow.
HE: You wouldn't be a widow for long.
YOU BET I WOULDN"T
Not with your money.

In the Marx Bros, 'Night at the Opera' Groucho and Chico striking clauses from a contract.

On the subject: Back in the 30s, it was Chicko Marx, Later it became CHEEKO. But the former was correct, He got the name from chasing girls who were called 'chicks' at the time ... mel

From "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," I love the riverboat gambler scene. There aren't really any jokes as such during this scene, but it combines every possible cliche about the situation in about 3-5 minutes, and the combination ends up making me roar with laughter when Danny Kaye says: "Ft. Sumter's been fired upon and my regiment leaves in the morning."

How about the "I'm engaged scene" from Some Like it Hot?

Joe: But, you're *not* a girl! You're a *guy*, and, why would a guy wanna marry a guy?
Jerry: Security!

Or the tango dancing between Joe Brown and Jack Lemmon-or the final scene "Nobody's Perfect!"

I know I’m very late to this party, but here’s a few of my favorites. Each one makes me laugh out loud, no matter how often I see them.

1. Chaplin and the eating machine in Modern Times. (Probably the funniest thing ever put on screen...in my humble opinion) :D

2. Abbott and Costello doing Who’s on First in The Naughty Nineties. (Too easy, I know, but it still cracks me up)

3. The amplifier that goes to 11 in This is Spinal Tap. (Or the pods that won’t open; or Stonehenge; or...)

These parties don't end so no one is ever late.

Another of my favorites, the end of "Duck Soup." The whole battle. Different uniforms, ordering lunch (or two more girls.) They can't have the war end now as they have paid a month's rent on the battlefield. Well, the whole film is one great scene after another, at least for me.

"Hail Freedonia!"
Hi Chris .I am behind but am catching up abit .I love the chase scene with Phyllis Diller in Sorry Did I get a Wrong number. She is on a motorcycle and being chased by the cops I just roar when I see that movie. talk to you later ,Carol

I like the scene in Easy Living where Jean Arthur uses her shoe to break open her piggy bank, and there's also a great food fight scene later in the movie.

me too, kingme. I'm only sorry they didn't post the ending to that scene, where Harpo dunks his feet in the lemonade tank.
