Re: *CANDIDS*
There seemed to be a period when Frank Lovejoy appeared in everything. Just heard him the other week co-starring with Charles McGraw in an old sci-fi radio broadcast. Shocking that he passed away so young. Especially shocking since I already have five years on him.
Thanks for posting these wonderful, wonderful images and birthday wishes/remembrances!

For anyone curious, a good college buddy of mine wrote this article on the great Frank Lovejoy:

Re: *CANDIDS*
Again, this is why I'm going to love this site. Many thanks CM for posting this piece on Frank Lovejoy. He certainly did appear in a number of first-rate motion pictures and always delivered stalwart performances. Sadly, though one of those actors who never hit star-status and is pretty much forgotten today (except by the members of this board) but was always a reliable, welcome presence. I suppose my strongest film memory of Mr. Lovejoy was as Lloyd Bridge's "dupe" in "Try and Get Me". A hard-hitting film with a sock-in-your gut climax.
Heck, I've gotta get another book written, but Silver Screen Oasis is just too much fun!!!

Western Guy, I looked for books under the author's name of "Western Guy" on Amazon but nothing turned up. :)
