You are right about Punsly, Stone. He played it smart. I always liked the Dead End Kids movies too, the Bowery Boys were a bit silly (but made money).

Yet another reason I love this place, filling holes in my awareness of the classic film era. Never heard of the Dead End Kids before yesterday.
